I don't really know the right term for this but the idea is the following. I took a reference photo of this pistol, painted the pistol outline black and everything else white, only leaving the outline. Then I started painting by hand ( with Photoshop 8.0 ) and tried to create an illusion of depth into it. I didn't want to make it realistic, but just better than a flat image. I don't really even know if this is worth displaying here, but I will post it anyway. See attachment.
