my new computer and steam

im getting a new computer soon and i dont know much about steam or how it works. so i was wondering if i will be able to install HL2 on my new machine if i uninstall it from my old machine? will i be able to do this, or will steam think im cheating or something.

As long as you login to the same Steam Account, you'll be fine.

oh so when i install it on my new machine instead of creating a new account i just log in as my existing one?

Just don't try to log into your account from both PCs at the same time and it will work okay on your new PC.
