New - Old video.

Over at www.gametrailers.com they have a "new" HL2 video, which IS NOT new, BUT, still worth a look. Its basically the Bink video, but put into a compilation, so basically its a hi-res version of the E3 vid.

Seems odd that. After all the waiting and speculation it seems... Not really real...
Is this just me?

Maybe it's just 'cause we've only REALLY known about it for 3/4 months which is quite possibly the shortest but most feverish work-up for a big-title game ever.

and even the 4 months seems like an eternity! could you imagine if theyd announced this is like 99 or 00?

We'd have a substantially smaller community. Too many people would have given themselves stress-enduced anneurisms and died.
Some have been close even in 4 months...

Haha yeah, damn I wish the guys at 3DRealms would have taken a page out of Valves book and at least not mentioned that Duke Forever was being made. Hell, if you go buy their original release date, Duke Forever should have been out 4 years ago haha. The game should have come and gone by now, yet it has yet to make an appearance, and unfortunately I think it will simply become vaporware.

If it was announced it wouldn't be as good, it's quite a mystery as when certain elements where implemented into the source. After all Valve spending some time with some TF2 elements and that then spliced into the hl2 source.
