Google Earth is so f*cking cool...

Unfortunately, they're not radioactive UFO's with death-lasers.
They appear to be F-16 Falcons, a high-performance air-to-air/air-to-ground fighter.
Now I know that area 51 is an airforce base, so its not unusual for military aircraft to be there. It is, however, interesting to note that those planes and two helicopters are the only military aircraft visible, suggesting that most of the expirimental stuff there making there (if they're making expirimental stuff there at all) is being stored under-ground.
Also, there are several passenger planes in the area, meaning that workers are still being flown in and that the base is active. :O
