How hard would it be to port a hl1 mod into source?

Ive been thinking of trying to direct port 1.6 and ricochet.

Difficult if you have the source code. Nearly impossible if you don't. CS 1.6 and Ricochet didn't provide their source code.

ricochet source code came with the sdk i think.

Really? Shows how little attention I paid to the sub-mods, I guess. But directing CS 1.6 is a no-no, because the source for that definately wasn't released.

Still, porting Ricochet requires quite a lot of work, and some pretty skilled coding.

ah, so thats why no ones done it..

Ill give in then..

He wants to port a MOD. Not a MODEL. That involves recoding it to work with Source.
