Any help much appreciated.

Okay I signed up to driveragent.com and got some missing drivers and also microsoft updates (thanks for pointing that out sea)and now i just tried running Episode 1 and that ran fine, so did Portal aswell. Then I ran HL2 again and got this error message:

------------------------------------------------------------------------
Engine Error

failed to lock index buffer in CmeshDX*::LockIndexBuffer

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seems fairly specific, does anyone know what it means?

Funny. I posted my dxdiag once and I got flamed. The reaction I got was, "Sure, we would like to help you because we are your friends, but don't post that dxdiag stuff. It's too long and we don't care about the details". Stupid trolls. :p
