Problems with Mods & Steam

Hey,

I have been a half life player for ... as long as it's been out. HL2 is great, so is Episode one. However, the modding thing just isn't working for me with this new Steam Engine.

I have installed steam and all, and HL2: Episode 1. And I've beat it way back when, so I went to install a cool mod I played on my friends PC called "Half Life Extreme" it says, just drag it into the SourceMods folder.

I did such, restarted steam. I don't see any listing for Half Life Extreme under my games?

Any ideas? Is it suppose to be somewhere else?

Is Half Life Extreme a HL1 or HL2 mod? If it's a HL1 mod, put it in the "half-life" folder that you can find in a folder that is named the same as your Steam account. Make sure you put the mod files in a folder aswell

Example: "steam\steamapps\ACCOUNTNAME\half-life\hlextreme"

If it's a HL2 mod, just put the mod folder in the "Sourcemods" folder and restart Steam.
