Does anyone know the official release date of half-life 2 i just joined the site, and is it going to be on playstation 2??

for PC its september, yeh,, but PS2, is gonna be next year sometime dude,, Christmas at the earliest? maybe, I did hear it mentioned.. for both platforms on one of the voice actors sites.. the woman who does Alyx's voice. you know the one .

It currently looks to be going gold in August, and then release in late September (Fall).

There are no plans for a PlayStation 2 version, and I very doubt one ever being made.

I thought HL2 was only going over to X-Box. The PS2 isn't powerful enough to handle HL2.

Nope, the PS2 hardware just can't handle half-life 2 at all, imagine the horror of your frame rates dropping like a stone when your in a especially normal/bump mapped cave with a torch on. I'm still amazed that how exactly polyphone digital is able to make GT4 look unbelieveable good for a ps2 game...

The xbox has proved, on the other hand, with games like Riddick, doom 3 and Halo 2 that it can handle the beast that is HL2.

never heard of a gamecube 2(btw thats not the new console nintendo is working on), PS3 won't be out till 2006(doubt any1 will wanna wait that long.), and you probably won't see an xbox port till spring or summer 2005. best bet is to go with the pc version. because the xbox version will still be graded down a little.

Splitner Cell, Splinter Cell 2, Soon to be Halo 2, Soon to be Splinter Cell 3, Full Spectrum Warrior, CS on the xbox is fun too, Mechassault, The best online console out there right now (Ps2 online is laggy as hell and GC has hardly any games online) and out of the box net capable and a HD, and full support from Fuhrer Gates.

lol, yeh , I know what he means, he means the multi systems, that hook up to your TV, and have PC features, TV and MP3 features, and are games machines aswell. everything in one really.

It's suckle, not supple. Supple refers to somethings flexibility. Unless you actually meant you wanted the PS2 owners to go be flexible upon the Xbox's breast. That is an image.
