Temper your enthusiasm a bit my friend. There are many extraneous issues surrounding this game that Valve has little control over.

But do allow yourself a little excitement

Bah I've lost alot of my eagerness, because I was stupid enough to hold onto the thought of HL2 going gold soon for so long.

I will still be buying it; I just don't have as much enthusiasm now.

boring now what do i do with this $50 game? since it will probably quite a while before any good mods come to it. I'm not really a fan of CS:S either but i would like to tinker around with HL:S though

well that third test.. err.. it wasn't a test.. but it was something.. anyway it has sort of re-newed some of my interest but honestly i don't think my interest level will ever get back the proportions it was at around September 20-30th 2003.

No not really, all this info is cool and all but nothing to be real excited about, I can only get excited about something so many times and then after its just whatever, ive been excited before only to be let down so im just hold all my excitement for when i get to play it for the first time.

Actually, I'm not preloading it. Also not sure if I'm going to buy it right when it comes out either. I'll probably have to much other stuff on my plate at the time.

No chance in hell HL2 will be vaporware since it's been sent to (and is most likely being inspected/tested by) Vivendi. Slim chance a GOLD announcement will be before the end of this month but most likely (HOPEFULLY) in early October.
