I was just doing reaserch about robin williams (that he plays warhammer 40k)and i read this

Williams was even in talks to do a voice for the game Half-Life 2, because he is a big fan of the series. However, scheduling conflicts prevented this

who do you think he would have played and do you think he'll be in a later episode (rumoured/confirmed black mesa survivor anyone :P )

Eli Vance.

Talking about voice over actors, I was pretty amazed that Mike Shapiro (I think thats how you spell his name), the guy who voiced both the G-man and Barney, was in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as one of the radio presenters.

Who was he? I know that Axl Rose was "Tommy 'The Nightmare' Smith" but who was Shapiro.

Actually he's real voice is like Barney's, I found sound clip from HL2 leak that had the GMan start speech spoken without editing, and it was Barney voice! They are using sound editor.

I think he was someone of the talk radio. When Leanne Forget introduces the news and goes "over to Richard for more..."

I think.

Robin Williams owns. Especially his stand-up on broadway..omg...

He was going to play the Vortigaunt. Robin Williams is amazing.

Robin Williams could play the entire cast of HL2. Alone.
Half of them would, however, have Scottish accents.

I reckon he could have made a good Breen. Not that I would swap Robert Culp out for anyone.

Are you sure? Boy that's disappointing...

But yeah, Robin Williams would have been awesome in HL2 no doubt. He's actually a great actor ontop of being inhumanly funny.

Patrick Stewert! :D :D :D

Man, more big-name actors in videogames would be nice.

Stewart was Emperor Uriel Setptim in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, so that's one epic game he was in. Still, having more recognisable names in a game with as good a voice-acting script as Half-Life 2 did would rock.

Can we have the source for this statement, please?

Aye Robin Willians is a legend and incredibly talented, Mrs Doubtfire was on the tele the other day and i found it hilarious

Robin Williams would be able to fulfill my fantasy for the new character. A half-crazy survivor Einstein of Black Mesa, speaks in a quick tone, sometimes says strange things, and seems always ready to up and run like hell (BM could do that to someone). He is undoubtably extremely smart, but strange due to his experiences in BM, where he was forced to survive by instinct alone.

I reckon he could do a role like that well. It has potential for some hilarious scenes. :)

Yeah he had a vocal for what, 5 minutes? Then got offed? That was depressing.

Engage!

I prefered it when someone skinned Jean-Luc-Picard and replaced Uriel Septim's skin with that.

I happened to play The Picard Song at my first start of Oblivion.

robin williams is awesome... fan of half-life, battlefield, AND warhammer 40k? what a badass

There is a video out there of Robin Williams playing Spore, funny stuff.

Operational, the second and third page of the forum pages aren't for posting :|

Well admitidly I only checked the month, regardless anything that is still on the forum pages should (at least in theory) be fair game.
