I feel ashamed for having to ask this: How can I reduce an image to 50 x 50 pixels? I know, it's really really pathetic, but I was thinking about getting an avatar and I don't know how. Photoshop? Don't have the damn thing.

... help... me... ;(

MSpaint, select a small square area in the image, cut it to a new page, Ctrl-A resize to 50x50. (use Image>attributes to see how big it is.)

MSPaint ****s up the image quality though. It's such a horrible program that I have no idea what purpose it serves. I guess Microsoft has simply accepted that it's more of a humor program than anything.

If you don`t select a part of the image but resize the whole image, the final result is much better.

MS Paint is the best thing since sliced bread.

Photoshop does it really well and preserves the image quality.
