According to the site linked below, Silent Hill 5 is coming out for the Revolution, and will be exclusive. They could be talking crap, though (you'd expect to hear this announcement from someone a little more well known)

It'd be great if true :)

Some torch waving action with the Nintendo Nunchaku would be sweet.

That's what many of us thought when they first displayed the controller! Imagine Silent Hill's flashlight with that thing??? Talk about immersion!! Should be very cool and its probably true, but I don't know if this article is credible or not. Doesn't really matter as they would be nuts to not utilize the Rev's unique control scheme! E3 can't come soon enough!

Why is there an image of Resident Evil above the article?

Otherwise, glad to hear about the next installment in the Silent Hill franchise.

Coming to Revolution is good but not exclusivly. I can't imagine how sad I'll become if I can't enjoy Silent Hill on a PC, or atleast with a console with great graphics. Which is'nt Nintendo Revolution.

And SH 5 was the game I was looking forward to most :(

I guess you haven't played RE4 on the GC? Its graphics were amazing and IMO rival much of what is on PCs nowadays and are just about the best on any current console (yes, including the 360). The Rev is supposedly somewhere between 2-5 times as powerful as the GC and to me, that means it will be more than capable of amazing gameplay and amazing graphics! I would definitely not count it out just because Nintendo has not mentioned tera-flops, etc--you'll miss out on a lot of gaming goodness if you do!

If the game was designed around the Rev controller, how could it be implemented on anything else?

The source: "Portuguese website, Player Zone"

How did a relatively unknown Portuguese website come across this info?

Sounds like B.S. to me.

Most probably - it's a nice idea though :)

There's bound to be a 'sneak around with a torch' game for the Revolution - let's just hope it's made by a developer that knows what it's doing.

WOOHOO!!! That's some interesting news. I'll be sure to keep watching this one. It would be a whole new experience on the revolution....It would be awesome.

I hope its bullshit ;>

Because you don't plan on buying a Revolution?

I for one am hoping it's true (even though it's unlikely). Just as with Resident Evil, Silent Hill has been getting a little dull of late - each iteration being little more than a rehash. The thought of SH designed around the Revs controller is rather exciting :)

Wouldn't surprise me if it was a Gc:R - PC port if the were focusing on consoles. The revolution is relatively easy to code for, as opposed to the 360. This has been outlined many times, and so it's not very surprising some companies might halt development for more expensive consoles completely.

Personally, I'm only buying a revolution (Not enough money for the others). I wouldn't buy a scary game for the revolution because I get too scared easily. But it would most likely be a good move for the silent hill team. Hell, the whole torch idea does intrigue me, and might even make SH worth a rent to me when I get friends over to hide behind.
