Single player maps

does anyone know of any single player maps made for halflife 2? I've somthing about ant-lion troops or somthing like that. Where can I find half life 2 single player maps?

also
how do you get the console to come up in HL2 ? I'm pressing ~ but it's not doing anything. Do I need to alter the command line in the .exe file like in Hl1?
