Slight HL2 problem

Now before you all start to bash me saying I didn't pay for it, let me just say I got this version off steam from playing it 2 years ago off my dad's computer, and registering the CD key, and the game to my account. I downloaded it to my new computer from steam with no problem. However, when I first got my hazard suit and started running around, noticed that my AUX power meter, and my ammo bar weren't showing up fully. (Basically a fourth of the whole display piece was what showed up) I restarted my computer, restarted the game, steam, even reinstalled it... Could it be a problem with the package? Do I just need a new game? Thx for any support.

Did you validate your GCF? Steam can tell you if the game files are corrupted.

It may ba a problem with your gfx card driver, or your card just doesn't support HL2 -
try playing at a lower graphical setting. :thumbs:

Yeah, verify game cache. The HUD corruption is a fairly common issue; if validating doesn't fix it, reinstalling will.

I always get that hud thing, I ignored it though my ammo didn't show up properly.
