HL2 will...

Use the physics engine on glass. So glass won't break in 2 pieces after just one bullet. You can break little shards of it, just like in CS:S office. It looks very awesome and (actually) better in SP than in CS:S. Makes dramatic fire fights.

Good news. I love realism.

But really, I think HL2 will use the physics engine on just about everything its possible to.

Edit: Oooohhh, manipulator-launched shards...

thats just as cool as using the manipulator to throw those saw blades, but maybe the glass will get stuck in them, iono my mind just thinks of the many things that this game can have u do with these physics, and i just smile at the possibilities they have in store for us

it's not a spoiler at all...

I put it there anyway - otherwise you never know, people need a reason to bitch at you...;)

i doubt you will be able to do damage to anyone with the glass, would be great if you could though.

I'm sure the PC Gamer UK review stated that you could use the shards of a metal cabinet for example to damage enemies, so why not glass?

erm... how can it be a spoiler if we already knew this since way before CS:S? :p

Shooting the glass in CS:S is definitely very neat. I'm interested to see how the hl2 glass effects differ.

Thx for info but how is that a spoiler lol?

I love the shatter proof glass in office. It could be a spoiler I guess, but since I highlight over the thread title before clicking I already saw some of it.
