Steam Permian-Triassic extinction

I cannot connect to Steam now, but I can still play games online. Any idea?

I'n having the same problem. Very weird! I can't connect to Steam Friends, the community part is offline, but playing games is working without a problem. What are they doing?

Edit: "The Steam servers are currently down for routine maintenance" is the message I get when I go to the Friends section. The Community section is online again!

Edit 2: Friends is working again, so I guess everything is back to normal.

Great, I guess it is scheduled maintenance, better announce to the public next time.

I remember seeing that line go right off the graph. Someone screenshotted it and added a caption saying "Running out of Steam."

It was great.

This happens maybe every few months, I think everyone can deal without Steam for a few hours.
