Now, it's not just Steam freaking, I'm freaking too. Goddamnit I hope it's a CSS patch or another HL2 preload (the last one). I'm REAAAALLY hoping for the latter choice though.

It's probably just Valve ****ing with our minds. We will log on, steam will update for an hour, and when it's done a box will popup saying "LOL!!11! GOT YA !!!!" and that'll be it.

There is a hell of a lot of data there for just a simple update. I reckon it might be preload content for HL:S.
Of course, ultimately I have no real idea.
