Real quick question...

If I downloaded Half Life 2 from Steam, played the game, and later uninstalled it...would I be able to reinstalling it without buring it to a CD? Would there be some little icon that stored some stuff that would search into the HD and re-install it? Would steam provide some little program for people who uninstalled the game but later want to reinstall it..like some thing that goes deep into the HD to get the files that never get off it? Or would I have to download the whole thing all over again, maybe even having to buy it again? Thank ye'...

The game is tied to your account, so you won't have to buy it again.

You DO have to redownload it if you delete the .gcf files.

If you don't backup the SteamApps folder you will have to download again. You would not have to purchase again because your cdkey/proof of purchase is tied to your SteamID.

Alright..thats enough for me. Thanks, you anwered my question completely, guys...Im probably just gonna buy the DVD version, just so I can put that little box on display (I've got all my boxes on display...), and plus just for the fact thats its on a CD..something about just having the files that, I dunno, makes me suspicious..or some word similar to that, I dont know how to describe it.
