Stuck - Dune Buggy

Hi helful guys - I seem to be at a loss as to where to go now (what else is new) - I up-righted the dune buggy and have ended up on what looks to be hwy 30 - I reloaded my stores at a little shack, but, no matter which direction I try to go (even with Turbo engaged) - I crash and the cute little ant lions eat me alive - YUK! My screen shot is here too. TIA!

Isn't there a tunnel directly behind you in that screenshot? Maybe one with some little barricades you can smash through?

Yes, there is a tunnel behind me which I have tried to drive through - but, the road ends abruptly on the other side and it seems that no amount of velocity can carry me over to the road on the other side. I become food for those blasted ant lions very quickly. I can post another picture if you like.

When you went through the tunnel, did you try going down the ramp to the right of you, and down the beach at all?

if you look in the distance in your screenshot, there is a crane. Ride up to it (but remember that you will be attacked by antlions) and there should be a wooden ramp for you to WALK on. This means you will have to leave your buggy and go up the wooden ramp and well, you can handle it from there. You will have to do some puzzle solving which i don't want to ruin for you, but if you have further questions, ask away.

Was this screenshot taken before you entered the tunnel, or have you not been through it yet?

The screenshot is before the tunnel. Kage nailed it. He needs to take a right, leaving the road, after the tunnel

hey guys im stuck near the same area..i cant seem to jump the gap at the bridge where the gunship emerges..is there a way to boost the buggy to jump over that gap or is there another way besides that..

oh and i cant seem to gun down that gunship with only 3 rockets in hand...is there a workaround for this? thanks so much!

yes there is a boost
the sprint key activates turbo, as it tells you when you get in the damn thing
the gunship requires 5 rockets: the workaround is to find more rockets (or in an extreme situation, the tau cannon can do it a bit of damage)

When there is a Gunship around, there is always either lots of individual rockets around or a big crate of unlimited rockets nearby to the encounter - you never have to run away. It's just a matter of finding them.

The Tau Cannon, holding the secondary trigger, will build up a nice charge, and when you let go of the trigger it will discharge into whatever you are aming at. Quite powerful. New people to this game probaly dont realize that, so I thought I would bring it up. Shoot, I hardly ever think of it myself!
