What do i do after the train wreck ?

after the train wreck me and alyx crawl out of train and go all the way to other side where there is another train(I assume i am supposed to take that train somewhere) How do i get the train moving ? Do i need a pwoer supply ? Do i do something with those 2 mines that look like bear traps ?

Right near the beginning? If so, you aren't spose to go on the train. Just look for another way.

dark passage to elevator

I have a question about a section in episode 1. I don't know the name of the level but it's not real far into game. Your in the dark were you must turn on elevator while zombies come non-stop. I finally get the elevator down but can't get on because not enough ammo was left and can't get past plus the battery power on flash light. I don't have a crowbar did I miss it along the way?

The worst thing is I just reinstalled Windows and have to start all over again and that parking garage thing was a bitch to get past.

Nope, Episode One sort of breaks tradition by making the crowbar one of the last weapons you get in the whole game.

I forgot how many gravity gun objects there were in the elevator area, but I'm pretty sure you can clear out the area surrounding the elevator with an explosive barrel. Also, pick up flares and use them as an opportunity to recharge battery power.

you have a gravity gun in that dark part......and you dont get the crowbar until later. your cant miss anything in the game.

You're not supposed to have a crowbar yet. There is lots of ammo in that area if you search around. It sounds like you might be under-using the gravity gun too, since if you count the objects you can throw, there is nearly infinite ammo in that area. Use flares to set zombies alight, barrels to pop them, bricks to smash their heads.

And if you insist on restarting, you can go to 'new game' and select Lowlife - you won't have to start 'all over' but you will have to get past the carpark again.

If it's at the end: You have to kill the Strider and so on, 'till you get to the other side of the train station. Alyx will make the train move. At the last time the Advisor Pods jet out of the Citadel, and seem to survive. After that a huge explosion interrupts the nice view. THE END.

It's not that I unsist starting over I hate the idea of it, which is probably wht I haven't yet. I lost my save when I reinstalled windows.

You can type 'sv_unlockedchapters 5' in the console and then select Lowlife after going to New Game. The carpark will still remain to be done.
