We re currently devloping a mod for TF2 that bring TF2 back to its roots as qwtf and tfc were played. We are currently have coder and 2 map designers. We are looking for experienced coders and modelers to join our team. E-mail me on [email protected] if you are interested.


Current Major Features

* Throwable Grenades for all classes
* Bunny Hopping, Trimping, and related movement abilities
* Medic's Bioweapon
* Armour for all classes, in addition to health.

* A third "Grenade Slot", to accomodate special items for some classes.
* Demoman's Detpack
* Scout's Caltrops
* Frag Grenades for the Medic
* Improved Grenade physics

* A Nailgun to replace the Scout's Pistol
* A Railgun to replace the Engi's Pistol

Did Fortress Forever not already do this?
 
Yer FF did do it but yes i agree art/style sucks teh big whun :) This is also completley server side mod so TF2 users just connect and download the files.
 
also, I got FF and there were literally less than 15 people online...

i just get shivers thinking about that lovecraft inspired mission in oblivions

nah TFC wasn't like this in that the maps didn't allow you to freely bhop continuously in a straight line all the way from the respawn to the flag.

think about playing 2fort in tfc - it wouldnt be like this would it.
 
I dunno, TF2 wasn't really balanced to have this stuff in right along with the new stuff. Like armor may stop you from killing spies quickly which is really important in TF2. But I guess if you want to, you're gonna do it anyway, and I don't need to play it if I don't want and blahdeblah.
 
of course, i/we are trying to balance it as much as possible, though i'll admit while we're still in the development stage, it might not be completely balanced, but eventually we'll get that worked out
