the first boss!

I need help with the first boss: the big helicopter! I dont know how I tke away that big board thats in the way. Help please!

If you are where I think you are, you don't need to move the big vertical board... just go through the door before it (which has the barrels beside it).

Yeah I don't recall ever having to take out that helicopter, just ran like a bitch from it.

Are you at the part with the board that is held up by some stilts? If you are just shoot the stilts out and the board will fall and you can cross it.

There's one point before that, I believe it's at the place where you get the magnum. You go up in the tower and shoot the machine guns at it until it flies away.

Dunno if that can really be considered "fighting" it.

I think we'll need a screenshot to figure out what you're talking about. there are a lot of boards in the game, and the helicopter appears up repeatedly over the course of an hour. Specifics would help.

Lol when will people realise that there is no bosses in this game? It's just big and small creatures to defeat and some ships that can be tough to destroy but there aint any bosses

I mean the first helicopter in the game, you cant shoot it you can just run. but i cannot go through the door but i`ll test that again later! thank you all for your help!!

Yeah, its impossible to kill that helicopter with full ammo on the guns you have at that point in the game. I turned off the AI just to see if I could. I wasted all pistol, magnum, SMG,grenades, the lot, and it didn't even semi-destroy. Just do a runner.

I might be thinking of a different heli then. I had a pistol, magnum (I think), SMG, grenades and crowbar where I was talking about.

you can also use the door that's behind some steel barrels. go down the stairs to the sewers. helicopter stays outside, so it's not much of a problem at the moment. there you'll find couple of barnacles that need to be lured with explossive barrels. and if you succeed you'll come out of the sewers on the other side of the canale, previously out of reach. now go left and your done with the level

EDIT: and yeah, screens would help a lot

obergeist wee are not talking about the same place! i have allready been at the place you mean! and mouldy`s talking about the wrong place too, cause i only got the pistol and the crowbar!

so if You've already been to the place that I was referring to, you should at least have 3 weapons: crowbar, pistol and smg.

attach some screens, because there are many helicopter encounters throughout the game, and if you want some help from us we need to know exactly about which one you are talking about.

as far as I remember, the first heli that you can actually destroy is the one just before Black Mesa East. any previous has to be avoided, not attacked.
