Why not? Whats your logic behind that post? Dont just post something like that and not back it up, man.

Besided, I never implied that they'd come out on the same day; but rather close to eachother.

Can't happen... HL2 has to already be in stores on the shelves before Vampires, they can't go out at the same time.

Don't trust anyone's release date for Vampires... Once one is announced for HL2 then everyone will change it to reflect that and then you can probably make your own decision on everything.

my logic would be that Troika (the dev for Bloodlines) would not be stupid enough to release their game on the same day, let alone the same week (or month perhaps) because HL2 would/will literally kill Bloodlines in sales.

Bloodlines looks like a very good game, but still i don't think it can compete with Valve's name and the HL series... thats why i think we might end up seeing Bloodlines released closer to X-mas.. so Troika can avoid directly competing with HL2 on close releases.

That date will probably be altered once HL2 has a confirmed one. Although a lot of people (especiallyHL2 fans) will be interested in Bloodlines, they will be busy playing HL2 or out of money to buy it within a couple of weeks after HL2. So yeah I agree with Dr. Freeman, it will probably be released close to christmas.

Kinda sad for Troika, they will have to sit and wait even longer..

Well if that was the official release date for Vampire: Bloodlines, then I think Half-Life 2 should be coming out in October. Half-Life 2 has to be in stores before they can release Vampires

If HL2 was further delayed Troika could release their game.
And I think Vivendi holding it back could count as delay?

i think VALVe themselves would more or likely give Troika Games the go-ahead to release before HL2 if Vivendi's release date is ridiculously far away.
