The qualifiers for The International 4 tournament are fast approaching, and Valve have today announced the various teams and players set to take part in each event. As previously revealed, 11 high profile teams have been directly invited to the main event, while an additional 41 teams will fight it out across four separate regional qualifiers, all of which take place throughout the month of May.

All qualifiers feature 10 teams except for the Americas Qualifier, which instead features 11. This change was introduced after Revenge eSports were dropped due to roster changes before being re-added after being replaced by Isurus Gaming.

The 40 qualifier teams will be slowly broken down into two separate groups, "Winners", and "Runner-Ups". Winners, as you would expect, are teams which have fought to the top of their respective qualifier and have taken the first place spot. Winners will advance directly to the main International 4 tournament in July, while the Runner-Up teams from each event will have to face off against each other in a bid to claim the 16th and final slot in the main tournament.

As with every International tournament, each event will be free to watch within the Dota 2 client, and will also be livestreamed by various organisations over Twitch.TV. It has recently been announced by James "2GD" Harding that a huge variety of commentators from various organisations will be gathering together to create an "EU Hub" at The GD Studio in Sweden, which will offer 24/7 livestreams and English commentary for every match in every qualifier. Matches commentaries will be hosted by Ted "PyrionFlax" Forsyth, Bruno Carlucci, Salome "Soe" Gschwind-Penski, Niklas "Wagamama" Högström, Toby "Tobiwan" Dawson, and many more.

BeyondTheSummit will also be running their own "North America Hub", which will run alongside the EU Hub, but will feature live commentary from a number of other personalities, including David "LD" Gorman, Ben "Merlini" Wu, Troels "syndereN" Nielsen, Shannon "SUNSfan" Scotten, Aaron "Ayesee" Chambers, and several others.

That about covers all of the different events, dates, teams, and players you will need to know about if you're going to be following The International 4. With more teams than ever before, it should make for quite the show. As always, stay tuned to ValveTime for all the latest Dota 2 news. If you can't quite wait until the next big reveal, be sure to check out the rather fancy looking announcement page over on the Dota 2 blog. It has big statues and purple smoke, you can't really say no.
