This thread is where you basically post your Epi One reveiws. I'll post mine when I got more time. :p

EDIT: ZOMG done. It seems long becuase I copied and pasted it from Notepad and pharagraphs disseapered.. :o

Ever since the cataclysmic ending of Half-Life 2, fans have been desperate to know what happens next. What happens to Aylx? Does Dr. Breen survive? What will become of City 17? Perhaps most important of all, what happens next when it comes to Gordon and the G-Man?
Episode One will answer these questions. It is a direct sequel to HL2, starting only a few hours after the teleporter explosion. Gordon’s back, and the lovely Alyx are still alive too. She survived…somehow, and as the game goes on, more questions are opened up and, in typical Valve style, only a few are answered. D0g too returns, albeit briefly, and other characters make cameos as well. But mostly it’s just a Gordon and Aylx partnership. And what a partnership it is.
Aylx is so human. She will rest after battles, and express all those human emotions, fear, worry, happiness…never has such a human character been seen. She’s a good shot too, and will issue warnings and the like. Despite Valve’s claims, it’s not like playing single-player co-op, but…something else, something much better. Aylx will also respond to the enemy. She has all kinds of animations when it comes to Zombies and Antlions. She knows when to run, and when to duck, and she will reload in between battles. On easy, her help isn’t that noticeable, but on the harder difficulties, you’ll be glad she’s there.
New stuff. Apart from Alyx, several new weapons and enemies are revealed. Weapon wise, some new gravity gun ammo, flares, are available. Apart from making a great substitute for your flashlight while conserving energy, it can also set alight enemies, providing another source of light, something that you’ll desperately need in the dark sub-level of city 17. But more on that later. Alyx can also zap those Rollermines so that they turn orange and help you.
Enemy wise, withered human slaves known as Stalkers now play a bigger role, while only glimpsed in HL2. They will destroy your energy balls, as well as blast you with their very annoying welding laser. A new, abouslotly brilliant Zombie type appears: The Zombine. These fellas suicide attack you with Grenades, and of course, give you a good smacking zombie style. They’re also quite fast (though not on par with the fast zombie). Other new horrors are glimpsed, waiting to be used in later episodes.
The dark sections are awesome. Doom style, you need your flashlight, but of course other sources of light are available…Alyx will need your flashlight to aim (and she doesn’t appreciate having it shone in her face) and you’ll need her to shoot so you can conserve what little ammo your given.
The commentary featured in lost coast is here, and is brilliant. All kinds of details on the creation of this brilliant episode are contained within, and it is defiantly advised you try them after completing the game.
Commentary isn’t the only Lost Coast feature in Episode One. As promised, HDR makes its appearance, and in full force. Fighting a gunship in a fully destructible attic is made more exciting by the light-adjustments Gordon’s eyes must go through. Once again Valve have outdone themselves.
The most polished first-person-shooter ever? Could be. Get this game. There is no game you want more than this one.

10/10. Bloody outstanding.
