heh, I've always liked history, and I've been researching the history of my area using various sources (www.old-maps.co.uk, http://www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk/, google etc). I came across the above page, and couldn't help noticing the handicap column.

Seems if you weren't educated then, you got labelled as such. I wonder what labels they'd use these days? Chav? Loser? Dole-king? Drunkard?

BTW - I have some credit left on my session with the 1901 census - I have enough left for one place/name search. The first person in the UK to give me an address, or a name and a place that I can use in the census search engine, will receive via email a nice pdf of the census results of their house at that time.

Obviously your house will have had to have been there in 1901. :E
