Transferring Saves

ok, so I just got my new PC for my birthday and I wanted to transfer my saved game from my old PC to my new one so I don't have to do the entire campaign over again. I got the file out of my valve/steam/steamapps/half life 2/blah blah blah folder and put in in the same folder on my new pc... yeah, the files don't show up when I launch hL2 and hit Load Game. Any suggestions?

Had a similer problem when i had to format my hard drive, u sure taking and putting them in the right places. e.g: C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\*urname*\half-life 2\hl2\SAVE

Mine worked fine, just had to rebind my keys.

Copy the SAVE folder from the old hl2 folder and put it in the new hl2 folder. Should work..

yeah, try the SAVE folder...not the "blah blah blah" folder.

there's a command to unlock the chapters, too, if all else fails. just use the "find" command.
