unlimited ammo with out cheating

I was playing through Nova Prospekt again and I decided to take the turrets Alyx hacks through the rest of the level with me

This meant I had an extra turret when you come to the second point when you have to deffend your self with the turrets. Has anyone else tried this or something similar ?

they will shoot any enemies you come across whilst you are holding them as well.

Nah, yah dont need em! Even in Nova Prospect when you get attacked by all the combie, there is an easy solution without cheating, just strategy, and you don't even have to lose health while doing it!

I had eight turretts in the room with the teleporter. Put them in the right places and you can just sit and wait for the whole thing to play out.

I like runnig around like a headless chicken and shooting things anyways so i dont need to carry a turret round. Good trick though, didnt think of it meself

I took one turrent from the first to the second room, and two from the second to the third (the teleporter)

Ditto the first time I completed HL2, and I never had any trouble completed the level on medium difficulty, the combine never actually got into the room at all..

I took two turrets to the Combine Portal room. Just sat back and enjoyed the show.

I prefer not to use the turrets in the portal room, its more fun to fight them off yourself

I tried carrying around a turret in 'follow freeman' and its good for killing combine, but it shoots your friends as well. Still, i found this quite amusing
