Left-click and look under "properties" and then "update" for the HL2 media. It appears that the G-Man video was set to go on 7/8/03. It would seem that Valve has not been 'yanking our chains' as some seem to think, but rather that steam was not quite ready to handle the release. (Of course that date might just be made up ).

BTW, it says in the media properties that the disk usage is 400MB - hopefully that means that there's more on the way very soon!

In any case......no more whining!

I think they just needed more bandwidth. Now they have some badass 300 mbps servers. Even so, at it's peak almost 50% of the core bandwith was used up. If they released it last week, Steam would not be able handle it.

its actually taking 400 mb disc space, the cache file is 400 mb
