War Inc: Battlezone

Anyone play this game? I've installed it recently and it's proving to be quite fun so far, particularly because it's possible to earn currency to purchase elements.

For those who aren't familiar with the game: it's a fast paced, very fun multiplayer game, where players are pitted against each other as members of PMCs deployed in various theatres of war. Game plays through a third person perspective with a floating crosshair (except for scopes in aim mode) and an over-the-shoulder camera. It's a nice balance of realism and arcade play: fighting is tense, fast paced and typically occurs on short ranges, but requires a more professional mindset than bunnyhopping your way to victory (which is impossible).

There is a nice variety in the game, thanks to its robust customization options (gear, character outfit, helmet, face etc.) and a character development system, where you pick perks and choose bonus abilities to fine tune gameplay to suit your style.

Personally, I'm liking this game very much. LFG!

I played it a few months ago. I must say though, I was disappointed. Maybe its changed since then but there seemed to be a very VERY high number of noobs and campers in the games I played, reducing the enjoyment even further

RJMC and Willie, http://www.battlezone1.org/ and http://www.battlezoneclub.org/ are the only sites you need for all your BZ1 needs.

The game has been updated by fans and there are still some people who play it online as far as I know.
