im at the part where i was given the gun in the boat and gotta go somewhere....im pretty mad now cause now as i was steerin the boat i was shooting bad guys....now i came to a spot where its a dead end....now theres like a ship in middle of the water.....now there a hole which i have to get in....now i see a board there and was gonna use it as a ramp....the only problem is i cant jump it....everytime i try i fall down.....i dont go far enough to clear it.....now i know i have to go there.....am i supposed to use that ramp to get in that tunnel?....seems like the only way.....but it wont go far enough.....im stumped here cuz it should be easy to do it unless theres another way........help ....

A screenshot would be very useful, because that particular mission is loaded with a billion ramps, boats and tunnels. Anything more specific would be good.

I think I know where you're at... is there a container near the end? If so, go in and blow the barrels.

cumon guys.....im stuck here.....when u got the gun in the boat u keep riding till u cannot go any farther.....there a ship tilted in there.....theres another ship in there too....theres a tunnel to go in but u just cannot go in....now theres a ramp here....i tried using the ramp but it will not jump all the way...i crash....im thinking if it dont work u cant go.....but ive tried goin back and another way but it dont work....im confused.....do i use that ramp to jump....but then if i cannot jump it then it shouldnt be right.....i walked and there was radioctivity but it was a new area.....

sir theres no containers......theres a tunnel.....that u know u have to go thru.........and theres a ramp which i figured to jump and get there....but it dont go all the way....i cant jump it cause it wont jump all the way
theres like 2 ships there.....

oh let me try this....now the area that therre was a dead end....now there were 2 ways to go....the left or right....now the left area there was FIRE going across the water....so i had to go right....after i went right then i kept goin till i couldnt go nomore....now i tryed backtracking and taking that left where the fire was but it didnt take me anywhere.....so thats it....do u know what i mean?....now the q is to i have to jump off the ramp into the tunnel?...cause i keep tryin and it wont reach....i keep fallin off...ive tried things in there but nothin works

Post a screenshot. BTW if you're at the area I think you're at (two vehicles firing missiles at you) you have to blow the explosive barrels in the container first or you can't jump the ramp, I've heard it's a plot switch.

Look in the walkthroughs in gamefaqs.com which has a helpful,comprehensive hl2 walktthrough. There are quite a few in there. There is also one available in this website already. I had been stuck on many occasions but the walkthrough is very helpful indeed.

I think I know where you are.

If you're where I think you are, there IS a container (a red one, I think), however, to get past that particular area I had to get out of the airboat and walk all the way to the other side of the container.
Once inside there are a few explosive barrels that you shoot, that will cause the container to open.
After that you take the airboat through the newly created opening and just go on.

I think it takes you to the ramp and then you'll be able to make it across.

I don't know if I'm explaining myself all that well, but I think it shouldn't take you very long to make it out of there.

you had to take the route with the fire across the water. You can avoid the fire by taking a little ramp on the right of the fire... at least if you are where I think you are

Yea... I think..... yea... your right at the part... where you need.... to throw the grenade .... in the cargo box .... to blow it open ... and... drive your buggy through... and ... around... to get.... to.... the ramp... then jump it.
