Wav files et cetera

How do you access wav files and/or any other in-game files? I can't find them anywhere on my computer.

They're in the GCF files in your account folder in the Steam directory.

These are very much like the PAK files from Half-Life. To open them you need to download GCF Scape. Think the official website for it was having problems but you should be able to search for it on Google.

Incidentally, with the .wav files, if you open them in NOTEPAD you'll see the closed captions down at the bottom of the file :E

Download a program called GCFScape... after you open it... go to FILE>OPEN and go to Harddrive\Valve\Steam\SpeamApps>Source Sounds.gcf ... open that file and you could find all the sounds from the game... the music... everything
