I'm currently playing half life 2 the orange box on hard difficulty and at the moment I still don't know the difference, there's no more zombies than the other two levels and the pick ups for ammo and health appear to be the same, does anybody know?

Enemies take more damage and deal more. I believe you may also take additional damage from falls , don't know about that one though I have never tested it.

You also take more damage from friendly fire (i.e. exploding an smg grenade in your face).

Thanks a lot, i decided today that I might as well complete it on hard

In all the HL2 games the only difference is weapon and enemy damage. In HL1 on hard mode the alien slaves attack faster and the assassins gain active camo.

That game is hard enough on normal!

Never heard about that... or saw it in my play through...

To make matters worse, on hard difficulty mode, the Asssassin uses a cloaking field that makes her invisible when she's not moving.
