What Happened to Xen?

What happened to that idea?

I would consider them bringing the dominant race from Xen to Earth a little part of Xen coming to Earth.

Xen the world is under the control of the G-man's employers.
I suppose that the Xen plant growth seen in Black Mesa could be occuring elsewheres, but we just don't see it in the game.

Hmmmm i know this was the situation after HL1, but for some reason which im not 100% sure about, i assumed perhaps thats the combine re-took Xen back under their control after being pissed from having it taken the first time (which i think Xen was, considering the nihilanth was chained) And using Xen as a stepping stone to get to earth, cos of their teleporting woes. I know some of that has some factual basis, but i cant remember where

Headcrabs and barnacles just seem to be the Combine's biological warfare machine.
Vortiguants are the race you are allied with.
But Xen is obviously a small part of the bigger picture.

They are Xen fauna. I supposed we could have done with some flora too. Other than that, it's a bunch of floating gasbags and rocks.

Hmm... I think wat they ment was... Earth has become like Xen since most of the creatures that can be found in Xen can now be found in Earth.
