Why does it seem we have many more spreaders of strife and dissension on this board than ever before (I may have joined 5 months ago, but I've been scouring these threads for info for well over a year)?

Go ahead and doubt Valve, but don't try and pit those who will like the game good graphics or not against you all.

This is a general statement to all, whether or not I get flamed, I don't care; the maturity level of some members here is seriously diminishing the overall progress of these forums in providing for mature, entertaining, and informative (wow, I'm sounding like an educational mission statement now) discussions on the progress and hype of HL2.

So ease up on whatever you're smokin' and express your view like you're not 8 years old. Thanks.

I've spoken against a few of the pics, but not in a way that says Half-Life 2's graphics suck. I just don't get Valve's PR decisions to showcase pics with glitches like the floating zombie.

As for maturity level, I don't think it gets any worse than the really extreme Half-Life 2 fanboys who bash every other FPS without playing them simply because they aren't Half-Life 2.

It all seems like fairly normal forum behavior to me. Sooner or later we were going to get hordes of unhappy people. We can't expect to have a rosy posy atmosphere the entire time with everyone chanting and blessing anything HL2 related.

I agree with you totally but we all need to have fun once and a while. :E

Of course, criticisms come with the package of a forum and I know that. I'm talking about people that are here on a mission against other members and HL2. Why join if you're just gonna flame and say "Half-lif II is stoopid and so r all of u to, so that's why graphics arn't veery good." ...OK, so that's overdoing it a lil', but you get what I mean (I sure hope...).

I'm fine with anyone saying that HL2 aint that great because blah blah blah, but i hate it when people force their opinions on me. I was on the Far Cry forum over at Ubisoft like a month and some little sh*t had a go at me because i thought Far Cry was good but not great. After a couple of threads of him calling me and people like me "complete morons" and all the Valve/ID bashing he did, i flamed him, not long after that i released nobody else in the forum liked this guy, and it was pretty obvious why.

Same thing happens with a couple of people on this forum. Actually only one or two, Caminate inparticular. I just hate when force opinions on me, or say im wrong because of mine.

I think this thread is a little bit unfair really. Sure, if you'd have posted this a couple of weeks back, I might have agreed with you but recently it's actually been quite pleasant. Hardly any Valve-bashing threads, and the forums have pretty much moderated themselves.
