Whats with Barney?

Well, have any of you played Opposing Force. When I first saw barney in that the first thing i thaught was "jesus, so YOU ate all the pies!" i mean, hes a big large bugger in OF, how did he get trim enuf to fit in the CP uniform? i mean, you dont see any Lardy Combine do you? The Combine Elites look a bit podgey tho, But i think its just the padding

If you pinpoint the zone I'll load it up and see what actually happens

ps. we know which one Calhoun is cause you see him in HL, so maybe this ones just another Barney

He tells you to go back, nothing more. He's not Barney. The Barney n Hl2 is from Blue Shift; you see him banging on a locked door right at the beginning of Half-Life.

I just played it, he doesn't do that. He shoots a zombie, you lead him to the door, and he say he can't let you through without your power-vest.

All that we have is the .mdl names and what valve have said.

best way to find out would be to go in the level editor with an op4 config, and see the list of npcs, that is if you are that dedicated, which I'm not.

in opp-force there are the 2 security guards

the first one u see, and again is called Otis he is the fat guy. look in the multiplayer of opposing force and go through the multiplayer models , he is there and is called otis.

u do actually see some of the original barney models in opp-force near the final part of the game, and before the end boss.

Only, I'm pretty sure the one in OP4 was clean shaven, but I'm also pretty sure I remember seeing one with facial hair in the firing range in BS (I think he was trying to reach his gun, but couldn't because of his massive girth...)

You can block the door with a chair in the beginning, go and get your weapon, go back and jump over the chair and then kill Otis and the scientists. The guy poking the headcrab(Lamarr and Kleiner, anyone?) can't get killed, but you can paint the wall behind him red.

Yeah, has anyone checked if the bs one is actually called Otis? Cos he does look different. Maybe it's his brother, Olaf!
