i went to HMV in london and i was still having trouble deciding between the 360 and the wii. i saw the systems side by side, i saw the video for mario galaxy.

getting the wii definately.

I have yet to try it out, but the Wii is the most interesting console for me at the moment.

Also, I'll point you to the other Wii threads so you don't have to create new ones :)

WII ARE THE CHAMPIONS, MY FRIENDS!

Super Mario Galaxy ftw.

God I can't wait for that game.

EDIT:

Might as well use this new Wii thread for something. A ton more Wiis were shipped to Targets and Circuit Citys around the country this morning. From what I've been hearing, it's like launch day all over again. Lines of 80-100 people were camped out for the Wii this morning.

Did this happen with the 360 or PS3?

yeah but not as much i don't think, the wii is outselling them hardcore. 360 sold 8 million units in a year, the wii sold 800,000 units in the first day in america alone. crazy.

hey ren, is that avatar accurate? is the wii square but the base tilts it? or is the wii itself slanted?

must resist.....urge.....to buy wii......with .....credit card.....

oh my, i'm in love with it more now, my only hang up with the design was the slant, but it's just the base! i'm in love with that cute little albino slice of a game cube!

Are you silly? I'm just wondering.

i per-oredered mine about two weeks ago, maybe less, and even though i'm not getting it on the 8th or 9th i'm guaranteed one before christmas. whoo!

So you preordered a Wii two weeks ago and chose to make a hundred threads on whether or not to get a Wii or a 360, and you decided to post this thread today about how you couldn't decide. Am I missing something?

You've just seen them both side by side today in HMV, yet your asking whether or not its slanted.

woah, jesus h christ chill out samon. christ, why are you SO angry? yeah i pre-ordered it, but you can get a full refund and i thought i might as well in case i decided to get one.

as for your comment about me being stupid, i don't see why you dislike that post so incredibly much, my point was that footage of mario galaxy and the look of the wii made me decide to get one for definate.

what is your problem exactly? haven't read a post that unnecessarily hostile in some time. nice threat too btw.

Ok, post tamed. I'm just seeing gaping holes in your posts here.

don't worry about it, no hard feelings. except that now you edited it my post makes me look like an overreacting loony.

and also in reply to the new third bit in that post: the wii in hmv was still in the stand, so i thought it was slanted. it is very very cute, i had no idea how small it was.

Still, I really want a god damn James Bond game! Goldeneye from the WiiShop or a new one at least. :P

Haha! The perfect place to post a piece of news that is just off being thread-worthy.

Nintendo are prepared to make huge efforts to get Goldeneye off Rare for the Virtual Console.

IGN said:
Thanks to an article by MTV's Stephen Totilo, Reggie was quoted as saying, "Would I love to see [GoldenEye] on virtual console? Absolutely. But there are a lot of issues there. Suffice it to say we would love to see it, so we're exploring all the rights issues."

Some of those issues are whoppers, too. Namely, Activision currently holds the rights to the James Bond license and Microsoft currently own Rare. In order to get ahold of the rights to GoldenEye once again, Nintendo would need to throw down some big dollars or come to some other workable arrangement, beneficial to all involved parties.

and i will make huge efforts not to let my friends know that so i don't have to play that boring game.

I would be excited for Mario like 7 years ago, there's no appeal now ;/

I just tested it out at my local Gamecrazy(Hollywood Video), and I think its pretty awesome. Tested Excite Truck, while my friend played some wrestling game. I'm sure I was there for atleast half an hour, so I'm glad no one else wanted to play. They take your ID to test it, but I don't have one, so I had to give them my cell phone for insurance. Make sure I don't jack no controller! Can't wait for christmas. Also, Why was Qonfused banned? Or has he been banned, or is that jsut some gay title to get us confoosed. WHY WAS HE BANNED? He is like my 700th' closest friend.

Mario Galaxies looks great and I'm sure control is really fluid with the Wii remote but it seems to have the same problem that a lot of Gamecube first parties did; a lack of challenge and depth. The reason I'm leaning towards the 360 is because I know it'll have its share of amusing games I can beat once and have a blast with in addition to online games that I can play for many, many months. A lot of Nintendo titles are absolutely amazing when it comes to game design and over all polish but can be more or less exhausted in a rental.

At the moment it is basically Gears of War vs. Twilight Princess. I worshiped The Ocarina of Time and have my PC to play shooters on but I'm a little underwhelmed with the other titles I'm seeing for Wii. Definately a hard decision.

Excite Truck looks insanely fun...
I have yet to see any test units of the Wii over here. :(

Well it's some launch titles vs 1 years worth of 360 titles.

The Wii will have loads of online games soon enough. Imagine Mario Kart online, plus all the 3rd party titles.

yeah and also it's take one year for a decent game to come out on the 360. GoW is imo the only good game on it so far. there are three more coming. lost planet, halo three, fable two and also viva pinata looks fun. that's out now right?

You're dead inside!

I usually find Nintendo flagship titles (metroid, mario etc) to be amoung the most engrossing and enjoyable single player games around - most non multiplayer games bore me in a few hours.

Don't forget Dead Rsing, Rambler - it's awesome :)
