WIP - Colt 51 Navy 36 Cal.

looks pretty nice, low poly count too which is always good.

good luck with the texturing of it, althought i don't think that should be that hard ...

You should try to attach the elements, instead of just placing them. Try cutting and adding them to the mesh.

Looks nice though.

But cutting them into the model would waste polys woudn't it? And what elements are you talking about anyway? Everything that should be cut in, is.

Glo-Boy do know how the gun reoads? Im not sure if the cylinder rolls out or if the barrel bends down? Heres a pic to understand me better:

it looks like the barrel flips down, i am not exactly sure but it looks like there are a bunch of hinges and stuff at the end of the barrel.

Okay on the back of the cylinder, you place little bronze caps on each of the "nipples." You can see two of them there.

Then, you pull the hammer halfway to what's known as "half cock" and the cylinder will freely rotate. Then you put powder, wad, and the ball in, rotate it down so that the hole you just filled with ammo is now on the very bottom, and you bring that lever UNDER the barrel down. That pushes a rod into the hole for the bullet and packs it down.
