I am stuck in "Following Freeman"

I can get to the first generator. I have disabled generator 2 and 3 but I can't seem to fin my way to the first one.

The first one is right in your face, you go up the stairs and there it is, in the middle room.

I can see it. I have seen it for a while. But I can't seem to find my way to the room.

When u enter the building u haVE TO BLOW UP THE ground guner after that u will come to a hall u can go strait into the next room or go right witch is the first generator room. go forward first and get ya freinds out then go to the other room becareful of the lasers trip one and u will be attacked. In the room u see a energy ball going up ad down blast it with the gravity gun. If u STILL have a hard time finding it even though its right in front of u i give up
