Yeah ... as a followup to my post above from an hour ago, the computation progress bar's rate is moving right along. Based on where it's at after just three hours, we're looking at roughly 60 hours or less, or about midnight on Monday (12AM PST).
Still not sure why the Projected Launch...
Quick observation: based on the Glados@Home reboot page and the "Computations Completed for Launch" progress bar, which is progressing over the last two hours since the countdown completed, it appears it will be at about the 5% mark within the next two hours or so.
That means, at the rate...
Would one of those bugs happen to be buying the game but only getting the demo? I've gotten the demo, bought it, and it won't update the game to the full version. I deleted all local content, re-downloaded it from my list of purhcased games, and it's STILL the demo. None too thrilled here...
Exactly how is this news? Wow, Valve said that EP2 changed over the course of development and that EP3 is going to be big. Get the presses fired up, I can see the headline now:
OMG VALVE CHANGED EP2 AND IS AMBITIOUS OVER EPISODE THREE, FILM AT ZOMG!!!1!eleven!!
I didn't have too much trouble on it. I had to reload once because towards the very end, two striders "rush" the silo. One comes in from the water tower, crouched down and moving very fast. You have to just really balance your use of the car and do your best to take the Hunter escorts out...
That was essentially what I was implying. :)
I understand that, and I agree, but you wouldn't be covering any new ground. You'd be on the Borealis, basically backtracking and escaping through the same route you took to get in, similar to the way it worked in Minerva Metastasis. The...
I really liked LordPomposity's ideas. They seem very in character with the little twists Valve tends toward, and I agree you also earn 20 awesome points for the idea of AR3 Guy being chased by a Hunter. That's Valve humor right there.
I just wanted to add that I think it would be cool to...
Okay, so, getting back to my original question rather than arguing about the 360 ... why am I not seeing the "HDR and phong and flashlight shading casting and a few models like Alyx and Eli and the Vorts" in HL2 and EP1 then?
Alright, they said they would. That's all well and good, but like I said, I saw this stuff already present in the gameplay preview video on 1UP, so what happened between then and now? As press, they got an advanced copy of Orange Box and were playing it on PC with, from what I can tell, HDR...
I recall prior to release of Orange Box that I read a few sites with interviews and advanced reviews of the game which stated that the enhancements being made to Source in EP2 would be merged into the original games so that we'd get improved HDR, dynamic shadows, motion blur, some improved...
The Everyday Happenings of Weebl (and Sometimes Weebl's Friend Bob) have apparently brought them in contact with events at Aperture Science. Watch and laugh!
