I just hope the later EP's, or even HL3, doesn't require me to upgrade my hardware just to play it. VALVe seems to know that not everyone can afford a souped-up system with all the latest bells and whistles.

The "transmission" is being sent out and the excape pods (flying things) are released. Then the Citadel goes into meltdown after successfully transmitting, and takes out City 17 with it.

Never seen this bug. Perhaps you didn't kill a Combine that was part of the script, and screwed up the scene.

The entire game in less then 2 hours, captured in a movie? Wow. The magic of compression. :) I am sure this will be an asset to anyone stuck in this game (or has won the game and want to see how you played and won it).

The "going back and forth" scene of getting civilians. 1 time I was waiting threw the door cause I spotted Combine and I wanted them to come in closer to get a better shot. 1 of the Civilians says "Ah. Gordon Freeman" (like they where getting inpatiant of having to wait). Then another 1 yells...

That was HDR modified, not Combine modified. I don't have HDR (but I do have a Bloom option) and the Crossbow looks like it did in HL2.

Dust can also cause the card to heat up. Try getting a can of Blow Off or something and blow any dust away. Since EP1, my system is been getting hotter then usual. I believe it's dust inside, possiably blocking the fans. EP1 must of raped the hell out of my nVidia Geforce FX 5700LE.

What I liked and didn't like about EP1 What I liked; 1. I feared since hearing that this was going to continue where HL2 ended, that there was going to be somesort of countdown timer internally in the game that the player MUST finish the game before the timer runs out and the reactor explodes...

I agree. But I say it was probley "We need the Mothership". The Combine Mothership is probley going to be in EP3. This was probally the transmission: "All Combine Forces. We need backup on Earth. City 17 is about to go up in a shockwave. We are blowing up the Citadel in this city to stop anyone...
