Delay doesn't bother me as i have recently replayed HL2 and completed Episode One so diving into Episode 2 now would be a slight overdose. Time to play some other games and then return next year fresh and prepared for some Half-life 2 goodness.

Got this today but i noticed that my max_fps command wasn't working. As i had just upgraded my video drivers i blamed them but then i booted up CS and the max_fps is working fine. Gona go try again to doube check. Working now, can't explain that.

I have downloaded Dystopia Demo Full Client (Update 4) and installed in correctly and it appears on my list of installed mods but when i click to play it says the game is not available, please try later. Is this HL2's way of saying something is not installed correctly? Other official mods work...

That fix seems to work, ran DOD and CS there and they were pretty much perfect. HL2 still has minor stutter at the start but tbh it has always been there and happens at the same spots everytime for the last year and a half. Pretty happy atm.

Thats what i found and came to the conclusion that the stutter is not random but was directly related to sounds being loaded from the HD (which were compressed and had to be uncompressed) and also the autosave function caused a stutter and considering how often the game autosaved it accounts for...

DOD is stressing your cpu out more than your card as the source engine is more dependant on your cpu so the way more complex maps are the killer. Don't worry dude because my 7800gtx struggles at times on max everything and 1280*1024 and it rarely drops below 40 (only during massive open areas...

Average frames being 130 on the stress test equals as high as 150 and as low as 35 in game. This is not a boast but a technical question that i would like answered. So far one says the error messages being gone will lower the score and one saying it makes very very little difference, i believe...

I have went from 146 fps to 130fps so i assume it was down to the error messages being removed and the game having to draw the details on those spinning slabs at the start. Can someone confirm this or has my graphics card give up the good fight!
