Price drop/package with ep2?

I say that's likely, but we don't know for certain until it happens. Steam will probably have a whole load of different packages available. Some potential combinations include:

1. HL2/EP1/EP2 (Half-Life 2 Series Pack)
1a. HL2/EP1/EP2/HLLC/HL2DM/HLS/HLSDM (Half-Life Source and Multiplayer Series Pack)
2. EP1/EP2 (Half-Life 2 Episodes Pack)
2a. EP1/HL2DM/HLSDM/Portal/TF2 (Half-Life 2 Episodes Full Pack)
2b. EP1/Ep2/HL2DM/HLSDM (Half-Life 2 Episodes Value Pack)
3. HL2/EP1/EP2/Portal/TF2 (Console Equivilent Pack)
4. HL2/EP1/EP2/HLLC/HL2DM/HLS/HLSDM/CSS/DODS/Portal/TF2 (Super Hyper Mega Source Pack)
5. HL1/OP4/BS/CS/CSCZ/TFC/Rico/DMC/HL2/EP1/EP2/HLLC/HL2DM/HLS/HLSDM/CSS/DODS/Portal/TF2 (Ultimate VALVE Software pack)

Retail copies will probably be limited to an Episodes bundle, or a Half-Life 2 series bundle that mirrors the X360 / PS3 release (HL2/EP1/EP2/Portal/TF2. This would make the existing CS:Source/DOD:S/HL2M pack more of a relevant purchase). I think a year after Episode 3, We'll start seeing equivilents to the "Super Hyper Mega Source" Pack on shelves.

ya... i think if any value drop at all it will be in a "pack", but the separate game i doubt will drop, its already low enough as it is already

just buy the game... its not worth waiting that long to get it... its a good game and its worth 20bux if your a die hard HL2 fan...

I was wondering about this 2 days ago. Now i have bought, played and completed Episode One and very much looking forward to Episode Two where as before i had to ignore everything Episode related incase of spoilers.
I watched the Episode Two trailers after completing Episode One and it was well worth it. Its no fun being in the dark so my advice would be to buy now and join in the fun rather than try and save $5.
