I've ordered a Xbox made backwards compatability update disk. No my halo isnt dirty and yes I definately put it in the right way. This was also happening with Halo 2 as well. I will call tech support soon and ill get back to you if I get anything usefull out of them. Thanks again guys.

I did the reset to factory defaults in the network tab and reset my connection... restarted my xbox 360 and then put this disc in and no update happened and it just gave me the same error message "The game could not start, please download the game again." The game shows as halo in the trey icon...

Yep I can connect to Xbox live I have the gold membership. How do I download the backwards compatability update directly from xbox live? Ive been messing around looking for something like that but I cant find anything.

Hey guys, I've been trying to get the backwards compatability software to work on my Xbox 360 but I'm not having any luck with it. I've burnt the file onto a DVD-R disc and installed it in my Xbox 360 and it says its completed succesfully. Then when I try to play my game it gives me this error...
