This reminds me of the mods being made before hl2 was released. There's a whole lot of marketing and not a whole lot of game.. I wouldn't bet on something this ambitious getting released.

Maybe you could have the mod be the same thing but in the modern era and make one country terrorists and the other counter-terrorists

ellimanest is right - the unlockables are not upgraded weapons. I'm pretty sure it would break the game if the best players got better weapons than every one else. Im pretty excited to see what valve comes up with for every other class..

Modding this engine is hard work. Making one map is a lot of work. This isn't for everyone. Don't get discouraged by the people here, they used to have dreams like you.

Try researching the other undead-themed source mods. Your concept is very similar to the mod 'no more room in hell' They have been working on it for years and are still not close to releasing. Not to mention I'd rather play left 4 dead anyways. You might have more success if you do something...

This happens to me when making HL2DM maps, I took out the compile command to run the map and just start the game manually. I'm not sure what causes it..

hai sir. you sound very professional, very serious, that is neat. but faceposer is so very tough to use. i'd suggest you keep the mod short and sweet so it gets finished (otherwise you might get frustrated and quit). what is the game about though? is it fun?

those screens really look great, but do you plan to release it ever?

the screens look pretty nice and something is being accomplished, which is rare. my two suggestions: make those cliffs smoother! they look like they are from HL1 and the color and size of the climbing axe is distracting, its hard to focus on the map when my eye is drawn to the bright blue handle
