How can anyone play/watch a sequel without seeing the originial? I'll never understand it, especially when they complain about missing information. I know you're not complaining, but you should really play the first one, its a classic.
The Vortigaunts were a slave race freed by Gordon in Half-life 1. They are stranded on Earth, so instead of falling under Combine rule, they side with the humans.
Well first, I would suggest giving the game to a friend cause it looks like you're in for a world of hurt.
To directly answer your question: Hit "E" to open doors; activate switches, valves, buttons, levers; pick up objects; get health/power from wall dispensers; and many more.
He might not be "evil," but his desire for power and control have blinded him, or better, skewed his view of humanity and its values.
I also think it's safe to assume (based on the G-Man's opening monologue) that we have the same sense of continuity as Gordon. By this I mean that no time has...
Lame, VCU has a download quota for student webspace. I miss UVa, where they didn't give a crap about throughput.

I captured the ending using Fraps. Its Divx/xviD encoded.

Just finished the game and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed both the journey and the destination. A lot of people are complaining about how vaguely and abruptly the game ends. But if you think about it, the lack of a definitive answer to our questions is the most logical route, and Valve...
They did say they would be releasing new single player missions via steam, possibly from Alyx and Barney's Perspectives, as well as standalone episodes. They're also adding much more stuff ass time goes on. These announcements were a surprise to me, anyway.
You need to backup from that T-intersection. Look at the two boats from your 2nd screenshot, do a 180, and take a left into the boat yard. There's a wooden dock on the left with an over hang above it. There's a door with a lock underneath the dock balcony, shoot/knock the lock off and proceed...
