I don't use them, since I usually listen to full albums.

I was initially disappointed with the lack of growls, but I can see this album getting better after a few more listens. Still, I doubt I'll ever consider it as good as My Arms Your Hearse or Blackwater Park. Same here.

Check out Disillusion or Dark Suns. Although they don't really sound like Pain of Salvation, they're both dramatic prog metal. (And Disillusion is amazing)

Yeah, Crimson by Edge of Sanity is incredible. But it's still not as good as Back to Times of Splendor (by Disillusion).

Yep, and the same can be said for pretty much every genre of music.
