IMO, and in the opinion of Gamespot's reviewer, BF2 radically changes the way players go about teamwork in video games. By definition, that's revolutionary. You can haggle about your perceived meaning of the word, but he's got the english language on his side.
You're wrong.
There's never been a game that's captured true teamwork the way BF2 does, period. I mean, sure, clanners with teamspeak have been running the table in FPS game for a while, but teamplay has never been so seemlessly integrated into a FPS UI before this. Strangers can, and do...
On paper, the PS3 is untouchable. Then again, the PS2 was "capable of displaying 75 million polygons per second" at this stage in its development, so YMMV.
In your honest opinion, you mean.
Stressing realism over fun is a mistake, I agree, but your post reads more like like you're just against realism in general.

It's already a sad day, now that...
Dude, you're just splitting hairs. When people mention "realism" they rarely mean absolute, total realism.
Making people hit the "r" key to reload when the weapon runs low, that can be considered added realism in games, seeing as you're litterally connecting with the player character in a...
If you still want to try the game in 16x9 widescreen mode, click the "run in a window" box then change the resolution to widescreen.
HL2 looks sooooo much cooler this way, btw.
Seriously, the game has shipped, people. The "leak" or "stolen build" is ancient history. Why is hl2-world still censored? Considering the sheer ammount of hl2-related modding that their community releases, you'd think their contributions would be welcomed by this community.
Just my $.02, but...
I have a LCD projector that can display up to 1024x768 resolution and screen sizes up to 300 inches, which is crazy. It's neat, but I think the best possible image quality I can squeeze out of HL2 is on my trusty MultiSync LCD1765 monitor in widscreen "run in a window" mode.
Anyone else try...
