I think that they had the guide go to the press before Valve were finished with the game. It would explain a few of the wording differences.

I just played through that fight again and I tried out the "turn the turret around" theory out. It worked GREAT. I only lost 3 health and 3 power. The trick is you have to take the turrets completely out of the crate and turn them around 180 degrees or they won't fire. Do that to all 3...

You have to drop down on that "observation room" from above. It's not necessary though. To get out you have to clime the stairs and then over the fence by jumping up on the timbers. The over the fence (kill the headcrabs) and down onto the ground again, past the fire and into the water.

Double check that you have both power plugs on different arms of your PSU octopus. Just something to check. Usually video corruption is caused by heat...what does your GPU run at? Mine is around 40C idle and never hits the threshold of 100C.

Yes, this is the nVidia display driver. Please post the error message from your event log (run "eventvwr", then select the System log. Scroll down until you find the red event that lists the STOP info). The STOP number is important and the text that follows (IRQ NOT LESS OR EQUAL or whatever).
