About a month before the 360 was out, it clearly stated you could play all 360 games online (beside the MMO) for free. on silver, and that you could play the backwards compatible games only on gold.

well i got my 360 for christmas and i was shocked to see that you MUST pay for gold in order to get online play for ANY game.

i say thats false advertisment, im ticked off right now.

Sorry but that's your fault for not doing proper research into products, besides where did you get that idea that games were free to play online? I don't ever recall MS openly stating online games were going to be free to play. The only mention of anything similar would've been what Amish said, but even that was scraped / false.

Edit: Forgot to mention, you could try using an alternative to Xbox live... it was xbconnect and another one I forgot that were your other options for free online, although probably won't be quite as fancy.

lmfao, I got my package and I got xbox live silver and I can play all my games online. The only abilities Gold offers is the ability to download demos and trailers from your xbox, it has some other features also. But you can play nearly all games with a silver package.

I HAVE NOW GOT SILVER AND I CAN STILL PLAY ONLINE WITH WHATEVER GAME I WANT!
